About Kanika Yadav

As a Senior Research Analyst at Leapfrog, Kanika specializes in content and semiotics. Having qualified for UGC’s Junior Research Fellowship, she is a scholar currently invested in the application side of meaning-making via semiotics. Previously, she has worked with cultural organisations such as Sahapedia.

In addition to working on the client projects at Leapfrog, she writes a weekly column with Hamsini Shivakumar for India’s first and only subscription-driven B2B platform, BuzzInContent. The column has been providing rich insights rooted in semiotics on brand communication in India for more than a year, now. She has also co-authored a book called Branded Content: What’s Culture Got to do with it? with Hamsini. A self-proclaimed connoisseur of digital stickers, she handles the company’s social media equipped with whimsical frog stickers.

When not working, Kanika enjoys quizzing, poetry and playing the Ukulele. She likes to explore both popular and hidden monuments within the cityscape and often conducts heritage walks around the same.
