About Deepa Mhatre
Deepa Mhatre is the marketing-communication counsel. She is also learning and imbibing with every successful project the value her fellow semioticians bring to the table.
She began her career in her native city Mumbai in 1999 with HTA (JWT) moved to Ogilvy Mumbai. Some brands on which her contribution was noteworthy – Lux, Dove Haircare, Bru, Star Plus (GEC), Heroes Project, Kotex and Huggies. After building a solid foundation in India, she took up an opportunity as an independent Regional planner (India and SEA) at Grey Worldwide for P&G brands. A new phase in her life brought her home to India where she worked in JWT Gurgaon for a couple of years on Nokia, Bharti WalMart’s EasyDay, Timex watches and some Pepsico brands.
She then invested full time in becoming a doting parent only to return with a renewed hunger to shape and sculpt newer categories and brands with people who shared a similar drive and work ethic.
Outside of these, she holds a keen interest in horticulture and wildlife reserves.
