Our Journey: From Brand Strategy to Applied Semiotics

Leapfrog Strategy Consulting took birth as a strategic brand consultancy in 2007-2008. It was born of the passion of three brand strategists to do something different and explore newer aspects of brand strategy.

However, a chance encounter with Dr. Malcolm Evans of Space Doctors, UK in 2009 changed the trajectory of the company. We had our first taste of applied semiotics, working with Dr. Evans on the concept of Masculinity in Indian cultural discourse.

An opportunity to travel deeper into the world of applied semiotics came with the co-founding of Semiofest in 2012. Semiofest is the global unconference for applied semiotics which has travelled from London to Barcelona to Shanghai to Paris to Tallinn to Toronto to Mumbai.

In the past ten years, we have completed over 50 projects for 30+ Clients and introduced the power of Semiotics to many students and marketers as well.

Today, at Leapfrog Strategy Consulting we do semiotics studies, brand strategy projects, design guidance projects and we offer training in applied semiotics as well.
